Interactive Story Gaming

Recently I discovered an awesome blog called Sonix’s VGM Collectionwhich is a blog all about Soundtracks and some foreign Asian music. This is epic. I have found out about so many cool Japanese games and rare games through this blog! One in particular: Shin Kamaitachi no Yoru: Juichininme no Houmonsha. Taking a bit of time to research on the internet I found out that it’s an interactive story game coming out for the PS Vita.

I had seen something similar to this before on the DS called: 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and I never picked it up. Always intrigued me though.

So upon downloading the soundtrack for Shin Kamaitachi no Yoru: Juichininme no Houmonsha and listening to the ambient and unique music I had to check this out more. I found a great article on it as well as another game yet to be released in Japan that looks promising as well! Story based gaming and interactive fiction. Something that I’m guessing isn’t very popular in the States but seems to hold something in Japan, I hope we see it here.
